Lessons

Piano lessons are such a great opportunity for young minds in that they help establish a sense of discipline and critical thinking skills. I require that my students are practicing at least 30 minutes per day. Students who practice regularly enjoy lessons and progress faster. Playing an instrument also gives students something they can be proud of which helps their confidence grow. It is my hope that at the very least these piano lessons will bring each student joy and a sense of accomplishment, no matter their skill level.

** 1⁄2 hour or hour lessons once per week, Monday - Friday

Teaching Philosophy

By teaching piano, I aim to inspire and instill a deep love of music in every one of my students. My goal is to pass on my passion for music so others can understand what a true gift it is. I believe every student has room to grow and the ability to be great if they really put their mind to it. My idea of a successful student is one that reaches their own goals and has a desire to keep learning.

I recently moved to Rapid City from Salt Lake City where I received my Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance at the University of Utah. I have over 10 years of experience teaching private piano lessons as well as one year of experience teaching lessons in a classroom environment.
